Exam Advantage, Examulator and the other resources on this web site were created by u/mikedn02908 on Reddit — 40 year cybersecurity, networking, and application development professional who lives in the Providence, Rhode Island area with his wife, three young children, and Drama, the Wonder Dog.

As a systems professional who decided to undertake the (ISC)² certification process in late July 2025 after decades of procrastination (everyone needs something to fall back upon in retirement, after all), he noticed there was a gap between available no-cost study materials and what the exams actually tested at depth. Thanks to his Claude Max 20 plan with unlimited spend, provided courtesy of his consulting company, he was able to craft tools which aided him in his certification studies.

As of August 2026, he holds all 9 (ISC)² certifications - CC, SSCP, CCSP, CSSLP, CGRC, CISSP, ISSMP, ISSAP and the ISSEP - in part thanks to the very tools and documents you will find on this web site.

To help "pay it forward" to other members of the community, the Exam Advantage and Examulator applications and their nine course databases and question pools were built for release to the community under the Certification Tool and Die, Ltd. umbrella, a small independent company whose mission is to produce high-quality, accessible educational tools to help others studying for their (ISC)² certification exams.
